Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 22, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how GUTS handles information when you use our website and prediction-flow product. We are committed to keeping the amount of data we collect minimal and to being clear about what happens with it. GUTS does not handle payments; we never see wallet credentials or trading activity.

2. What we collect

When you sign in, we receive your email address and display name from the authentication provider you choose (e.g. Google). You also pick a handle that becomes your public identifier on GUTS. We perform a country-level geographic check (from your IP address) to determine whether real-money mode is available in your jurisdiction — we record only the country, not the full IP. We do not collect payment information, financial data, wallet addresses, or any credentials related to Polymarket.

3. What lives only on your device

Play-money predictions, your session history, and your interface preferences (such as default stake size and whether you've seen the onboarding) are stored locally in your browser. We do not transmit or back this data up to our servers. Clearing your browser storage removes it permanently.

4. How we use information

We use the information we hold to authenticate you, display your handle on shared screens (such as leaderboards), enforce eligibility for real-money mode, communicate with you about your account or important changes, and improve GUTS over time. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Third parties

Authentication is handled by Google Firebase, which processes your sign-in credentials on our behalf. When a US user backs a prediction on Polymarket, they click through from GUTS to Polymarket and create an account there directly — Polymarket's privacy policy governs that relationship. We may receive an anonymous referral notification confirming a click-through, but never the trade details, amounts, or wallet information.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information: HTTPS for all traffic, Firebase-managed authentication and storage, and access controls on internal tooling. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce the risks of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Email us at hello@guts.app and we will respond within 30 days. Note that data stored only on your device (see "What lives only on your device") is under your direct control via your browser settings.

8. Changes to this policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes that affect how we handle your data, we'll also notify signed-in users by email before the changes take effect.

9. Contact

For questions about this Privacy Policy or any privacy-related request, contact hello@guts.app.
